Orci varius natoque penatibus et magnis dis parturient montes, nascetur ridiculus mus.
The brown bear, the symbol of Trentino, but also lynxes, wolves and many other animals will immediately become your friends. In the Spormaggiore Wildlife Park you can see the animals of Trentino and learn about their habits. An educational day full of emotions for adults and children.
The Spormaggiore Wildlife Park was founded on the Paganella Plateau in a vast protected area surrounded by greenery and offers everyone the unique possibility of closely observing the brown bear, the largest mammal that lives in the Alps. Here, in a perfectly natural environment, you can admire three specimens living within an area of 7000 square metres.
Recently some wolf specimens, one of the largest indigenous carnivores in the Alps, have been introduced into the Spormaggiore Wildlife Park. The area reserved for them extends over 3500 square metres of woodland and has two large observatories that allow you to observe wolves in semi-natural conditions. Numerous large plants such as beech, spruces and larches, bushy areas alternating with open areas and a small stream with pools and little waterfalls recreate the typical environment of these two species. In recent months, four specimens of eagle owl have also been included, two males and two females, in an aviary of about 30 square metres, and a male wild cat. Emotions will abound, meeting the animals, seeing them up close, observing them silently in their everyday life will be a unique experience that will remain etched in the memories of a special holiday in Trentino.
