Rifugio Malga Andalo
A glimpse of the Brenta Dolomites
Brenta Dolomites
Walking in the mountains to regenerate body and mind
Starting directly from Molveno, you can reach the Rifugio Malga Andalo, a natural corner with an incredible view of the Brenta.
When you reach the end of the road bordering the Molveno campground, you continue to the left beginning the circumlacual walk. To reach the Roman bridge you can continue on the driveway, or you can choose the more scenic path that runs under the main road and then joins it at the Roman Bridge waterfall. Here begins a short climb at the end of which you reach a crossroads. Turn right and immediately right again along the Bondai road that leads to the Andalo malga.
Breathtaking views of the Perse Valley
From the grassy plateau at the foot of Mount Daino there is a rewarding view of the Perse valley and the peaks of the Brenta group. At the refuge you can sample delicacies of Trentino cuisine and linger in the shade of the centuries-old plants in the surrounding meadow. The alternative to the Bondai road is the decidedly steeper, but truly scenic, trail no. 332 which is taken on Marocchi Street (near the campground) and climbs through the forest to the large plateau where the malga stands. For the return you can choose the equipped path “Donini” that ends near the Cyclamen hut. Warning: not recommended for those suffering from vertigo!
