Lago di Tenno and Borgo degli Artisti, Village of the Artists

One of the most beautiful villages in Italy

The Tenno Canal and its lake

Lake Tenno is a true natural jewel of Trentino, which for its incredible blue-turquoise hues is called by some the “Blue Lake.” Set in an unspoiled alpine landscape and only a few kilometers from Lake Garda, it is located 570 meters above sea level on the slopes of Mount Misone. There are no buildings around the lake, and the landscape is characterized by dense forest: this, together with the white stones of the bottom, gives the lake its blue-green color with an almost tropical appearance.

The Village of Artists

The nearby medieval village of Canale di Tenno (also known as Villaggio degli Artisti) is undoubtedly a must-see for those who wish to immerse themselves in the magic of a place from another era, where history, art and culture are breathed in. It has recently been included in the list of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages. The winter is characterized by the traditional Christmas Markets that attract many tourists precisely because of their originality, but during the rest of the year it is also a truly evocative place not to be missed.
